Registration Number


A unique combination of letters and numbers assigned to an aircraft by the national aviation authority of the country in which it is registered. The registration number is displayed prominently on the aircraft and is used for identification purposes in air traffic control, maintenance, and legal documentation. It is also commonly referred to as the tail number or aircraft registration.
