Inert Gas

Inert gas, also known as noble gas, is a type of gas that does not undergo chemical reactions under normal conditions. In aviation, inert gases such as nitrogen and helium are used in various applications. One of the most common uses of inert gas in aviation is to prevent fuel tank explosions. By filling the fuel tank with inert gas, the oxygen level inside the tank is reduced, making it difficult for a fire to start. Inert gas is also used in aircraft tires to prevent them from exploding during landing. Additionally, inert gas is used in the cabin of some aircraft to create a more comfortable environment for passengers by reducing the amount of oxygen and preventing the growth of bacteria and viruses.
